Peterson said his homeschooled son Nick isn't allowed to participate in school activities. He has six kids that are all homeschooled as they noted how other homeschooled families were close, faith driven. He said fellow parents are in a co-op to share their expertise.
Peterson tried to sign his son up for the public school wrestling team until he got turned down due to insurance coverage. He agreed with Ingraham that the public schools don't want the competition from homeschooled students. He has gone to the school board and said it will be addressed after the holidays. Ingraham spoke about how this happens all over the country at various levels.
Boyle said Breitbart reporting on the Obama daughters vacation endangering them is false. Ingraham commented on how the Obamas invoke their daughters continually when it serves their interests. Boyle said the White House is desperate to attack Breitbart because it is questionable to have the Secret Service accompany the Obamas rather than allocating Secret Service resources to keep the White House open for tours shut down due to the sequester. Ingraham reported that 25 agents went with Malia to Mexico and asked which adult is with them and Boyle said the Secret Service is chaperoning them.
Boyle said Judicial Watch has filed FOIA request to find out how much this latest trip cost.
We announced our self-driving car project in 2010 to make driving safer, more enjoyable, and more efficient. Having safely completed over 200,000 miles of computer-led driving, we wanted to share one of our favorite moments. Here's Steve, who joined us for a special drive on a carefully programmed route to experience being behind the wheel in a whole new way. We organized this test as a technical experiment, but we think it's also a promising look at what autonomous technology may one day deliver if rigorous technology and safety standards can be met.

Laura Ingraham hosted Larry Day of the Orlando-Sanford Airport on passenger screenings.
Ingraham said it is repulsive to her that a child be patted down and that she wouldn't favor an advanced scan. He said if there is some anomaly in a custodial search, he might consider a patdown, but it is not likely. Both he and Ingraham felt it was a n outrage that a child in a wheelchair would be patted down.
Ingraham pointed to the Israelis and Turks who do a profiling protocol which could work at smaller airports and favors a more targeted approach.
Dale said he is waiting to hear about his petition for his airport to go private.
The Aspen Daily News reports on First Lady Michelle Obama's ski trip to Aspen with her two daughters Malia and Sasha as their way to celebrate President Day's weekend. They are staying with donors in a key swing state - perhaps this is their rationale as many in the nation struggle to afford food, much less multiple extravagant vacations.
Few details about her trip were available. Sources said she is staying at the home of Jim and Paula Crown, owners of the Aspen Skiing Co. She is reportedly skiing at Buttermilk today, where the Crowns, of Chicago, own a home on the Tiehack side.
The Obama rental is just down the street from the so called "Winter White House" where they have stayed in the past.
Like other homes in the area, it is sandwiched between the canal and ocean and is gated on the canal side but its front yard extends to the ocean.
The home where the Obamas are staying in Kailua is nearly impossible to see from the beach but can be seen by boat
Unlike many of the homes on Kailuana Place, the house is secluded and set back from the ocean so it is not visible from the beach and can only be seen by air or the ocean.
U.S. Secret Service, Navy Seals and the Coast Guard are stationed throughout Kailuana Place and the attached Kailuana Loop and guarding the waterfront on both sides.
Just as President Obama is about to address the nation on jobs and the economy, with green jobs as one potential focus, a company that received millions in taxpayer dollars is filing Chapter 11.
But on Wednesday, the company announced that it has suspended its manufacturing operations and intends to file a petition for Chapter 11 bankruptcy relief.
“Regulatory and policy uncertainties in recent months created significant near-term excess supply and price erosion,” Solyndra President and CEO Brian Harrison said in a statement. “Raising incremental capital in this environment was not possible. This was an unexpected outcome and is most unfortunate.”
Solyndra’s problems included “uncertainty in governmental incentive programs in Europe and the decline in credit markets that finance solar systems,” according to a company news release.
First Lady Michelle Obama, as documented by White House Dossier and the National Enquirer, has five star tastes that infuriate her husband - probably due to the impact on their bank accounts and his approval ratings.
White House Dossier has documented Mrs. Obama's penchant for vacations, having racked up 42 days this year. They are replete with five star hotels and all the amenities of food, drink and luxury. Most disturbing is that the taxpayers could be on the hook for up to $10 million.
The list below from the UK Daily Mail doesn't include FLOTUS recent jaunt to visit her brother Craig Robinson in Oregon - a more modest trip.
The National Enquirer was the source of the John Edwards scandal which was ignored by the mainstream media.
The exact cost is unclear as Mrs Obama and her 40 friends footed many personal expenses, such as hotels and meals themselves.
But the U.S. taxpayer would have paid for the First Lady's 68-strong security detail, personal staff, and use of presidential jet Air Force Two.
Per diems for the secret service team runs at around $281 each - nearly $98,000 for the length of the summer break.
Use of Air Force Two, the Air Force version of a 757, comes in at $149,900 for the round trip. This does not include time on the ground.
Mrs Obama's personal staff, of which there are an unknown amount and might cost considerably more per day, should also be taken into account.
CHRISTMAS BREAK IN HAWAII: DECEMBER 2010
According to the Hawaii Reporter, the bill for the $1.5m trip included:
$63,000 on an early flight bringing Mrs Obama and the children to Hawaii ahead of the President.
$1,000,000 on Mr Obama’s return trip from Washington on Air Force One.
$38,000 for the ‘Winter White House’ beach property rental.
$16,000 to rent nearby homes for Secret Service and Navy Seals.
$134,000 for 24 White House staff to stay at the Moana Hotel.
$251,000 in police overtime.
$10,000 for an ambulance to be on hand at all times
SKI TRIP TO VAIL: FEBRUARY 2011
Mrs Obama and her daughters stayed at the Sebastian hotel on Vail Mountain, where rooms cost more than $2,400 for multi-bedroom suites.
The family appear to have flown there on Air Force Two.
They were escorted to the resort by a motorcade of about a dozen vehicles, including 15 state and local law enforcement officers
SUMMER HOLIDAY ON MARTHA'S VINEYARD: AUGUST 2011
The Blue Heron Farm estate, where the Obama family are currently staying, rents for about $50,000 a week.
According to U.S. News and World Report, the Coast Guard is required to keep ships floating near the property, the presidential helicopter and jet remain at the ready and security agents will be on 24-hour duty.
While photo-ops of the president "working" on vacation were released, no cameras were allowed on the presidential golf match at the Vineyard Country Club. The Obamas enjoyed a fancy meal out their first full day in the Vineyard.
The extra transport to get the the First Lady to the island for only a few more hours of vacation time will have cost taxpayers thousands in additional expenses.
The costs related to Mrs Obama’s solo trip mainly include the flight on the specially designed military aircraft she took instead of Air Force One, as well as any extra staff and Secret Service that had to be enlisted to go with her.
She would also have had her own motorcade from the airport to her vacation residence.
The President had already drawn scorn for using two helicopters and Air Force One to get to Martha's Vineyard.
He yesterday left the White House aboard Marine One on his way to Andrews Air Force base to hitch a lift aboard Air Force One - along with First Dog Bo.
After landing at Cape Cod Coast Guard Air Station, he then took a final helicopter to his holiday destination to complete the remarkable 500-mile journey.
The Obama family paid for its own share of the retreat, which includes a boathouse, basketball court, and pool. Taxpayers picked up the tab for Secret Service and White House staff based at Blue Heron Farm, as well as those who stayed at local hotels in Oak Bluffs, Edgartown, and Vineyard Haven.
John Strausbaugh, host of the New York Times "Weekend Explorer" video series
Strausbaugh said that harsh language didn't kill the people in Tucson and that many have a problem facing reality. He said all of us have some sissy in us. Ingraham cited the heroes of the massacre that have fortitude as well as our military.
Strausbaugh said we build our empires and live off the fat of the land. Ingraham blamed the boomers for the cultural laxity. He said the next generation is even softer.
Spiegel magazine interviewed Marks who described the content of his magazine as containing typical in-flight magazine information on restaurants, hotels and sights in destination countries. However, due to the fact that his passengers are not the usual tourists, but diplomats, aid workers and others working in country, he includes information about bombings, drug trafficking, ruins, and dog fighting which is a hugely popular sport in Afghanistan - which would be a turn off to the average traveler - but are appreciated by Safi airlines special passengers.
This proves there is a niche market for everyone and everything - even in some of the world's most dangerous hot spots.
An Unwritten Rule of Politics: Domestic Vacations from the New York Times seems to issue a post-trip tsk-tsk to FLOTUS Michelle Obama's extravagant sojourn to Marbella - mainly, that one stays stateside for vacations. The article pointedly details the vacation plans of other Obama administration officials.
Besides traveling abroad, the article doesn't zero in on the Obamas number of vacations - five since July as well as the numerous rounds of golf, in and out of the White House entertainment opportunities that most overworked administration staff could only dream of. Once again, the Obamas seem not only to be setting an arrogant example for the country, but especially for their own staff who toil as the Obamas play.
Michelle Obama violated one of this city’s most sacrosanct unwritten rules when she went to Spain — during arecession, no less — with her daughter and a few friends. Even during good economic times, top government officials tend to stick to the red, white and blue.
