Laura Ingraham hosted Rep. Kevin Brady (R-TX), chairman of the House-Senate Joint Economic Committee,
Brady said Speaker Boehner is not looking to the Senate immigration bill for guidance and that the results will depend on how strong and united the House is whether the two bodies go to conference or not. Ingraham asked what purpose there would be in going to conference. Brady replied that there isn't a lot of good faith between the House and Senate and that the House will stand up on principle. Ingraham pointed out that immigration isn't a top issue among Americans and that the immigration bill will depress wages and jobs. Brady said his constituents are concerned about border security and that immigrants should come through the front door. He feels we will need more people to fill jobs and Ingrhaam countered that we have millions of Americans without jobs or who are underemployed.
Brady is working on defunding Obamacare and agrees with Ingraham that this is a winning issue.
