Laura Ingraham hosted Governor Bobby Jindal on suing the federal government over Common Core..
Jindal said his lawsuit says the federal government should not be making decisions that should be made at the local level. He also questions the incomprehensible standards. Ingraham agreed with Jindal's premise. He said the state case is still going on. He said the test drives the curriculum and that big business is getting a big slice of money for this. He is suing under the 10th Amendment of the Constitution. Ingraham praised Jindal's push for school choice. Jindal defended his change of position because the federal government pulled a bait and switch with bribes and a top down approach which it wasn't supposed to be.
Jindal said it's ironic that Mexico has strict immigration laws yet their president wants the US to embrace illegal immigrants here which Governor Brown is doing. He said the border needs to be secured instead of granting mass amnesty which is coming. He said we tried amnesty in the 1980s and it failed. He noted that when the Texas rangers were on the border things improved. Ingraham noted that most voters want less immigration and more focus on Americans.
