Laura Ingraham hosted General Russell Honore, hero of Hurricane Katrina.
Honore said that Ferguson needs a multi task force approach to protect lives, property and supervising the peaceful protesters. He said there will need to be a political message that is focused and that this won't be solved with more police. Honore said he hasn't seen a crowd protecting kit that helps police avoid injuries. He said that using military equipment has its advantages but also requires training. He also advocates getting hands on training that is used in Europe and Asia to restrain unruly people. He feels we need to invest in human capital such as the schools and families. He pointed to Angola prison in Louisiana who can't read and stated this is a big indicator of problems with the law.
