Laura Ingraham hosted Grover Norquist of Americans for Tax Reform.
Norquist said the Tea Party has won with the exception of a few appropriators. He said the biggest mistake the pundits are making is that there is a huge split in the Republican Party.
Norquist said people who are immigration restrictionists talk too often about amnesty. Ingraham said there are millions of people out of work in our country and that the idea of conservatives asking for more workers to come to the US. Norquist said we need dramatic lower marginal rates, to export more, to have a serious border and doors open for our needs as a country. Ingraham countered that there have been small to no increases in wages. Norquist said we've had little increase in immigration due to our poor economy and that we have targeted areas we need foreign workers. Ingraham pointed out that agriculture makes up 11% of the economy and Norquist said it is a fluctuating marketplace. He added that pro-immigration candidates have won in primaries while Ingraham said the anti-immigration candidates were vastly outspent due to big business spending.
