Laura Ingraham hosted Marine Sgt. John Peck, a triple amputee.
Peck explained in 2007 his group was helping another group with explosives. He was in the first humvee on the way back to his base after the job and saw a bright light and was out. He hit his head and later forgot everything from the traumatic brain injury. He re-enlisted in Iraq in 2009 to protect his fellow Marines. He then met another IED in 2010 when going house to house and at one compound was hit by an IED. He lost both legs, an arm, art of another arm and developed a flesh eating bacteria from the massive injuries.
Peck is getting married and has learned to walk 300 feet. He is aiming for a double arm transplant and then later do the legs, although he can't have one leg done - but the VA will cover none of it. He said 16 Boston doctors are donating their time to operate on him and other groups are helping, but more money is needed.
