Laura Ingraham hosted Dr. Ben Carson, author of One Nation.
Carson commented on how people are attacked without the opportunity for a rebuttal as he has been as a conservative. He said the imeediate danger to the US is our $17 trillion debt. He referenced his home city of Detroit which was at one time a great city, but due to mismanagement is now bankrupt. He noted that previous generations tried to leave society in a better place, but today money is being spent with abandon. Ingraham stated that many Americans feel that the system is working against them, regardless of the party. Carson said we need people in office who understand fiscal responsibility. He pointed to the divisive nature of many in the GOP who insist on purity on all issues. Ingraham responded that the GOP was culpable due to compromising. Carson said there is a chance if fiscal responsible candidates are elected. He said the mainstream media wants the Tea Party and Fox News to disappear and not ask questions or make any demands which he said is typical of Marxist societies. He decried college campuses as not being beacons of light but as bastions of liberal group think. He warned that if we aren't the pinnacle nation, things will get much worse.
Carson decided a long time ago that he wouldn't become a politician. He said if the people demonstrate that they are serious to make the necessary changes, he would have to consider it but would rather have someone else run. He said every place he goes, people want him to run for office.
