Laura Ingraham hosted NBC's Willie Geist and his father, CBS's Bill Geist, authors of Good Talk, Dad.
Bill, who is affected by Parkinson's, recounted stories of Uncle Herb who is a huge Rolling Stones fan and Willie stated he is grateful that he was raised in a home with good rock and roll.
Bill and Willie agreed this is a memorial of their relationship, despite the humor and hard times. They both appreciate the opportunity to write this book.
Bill said Willie was a funny, subtle person and said he put a military school brochure out whenever Willie was mischievous. Bill said the "Birds and Bees" talk didn't go well with Willie changing the subject as they watched a baseball game.
Bill said he had some trepidation when Willie wanted to go into the media business. Willie said they never had a conversation about his career choice. He started as a production assistant at CNN in the hart of the Clinton-Lewinsky affair.
Bill spoke of his own father who was into photography and was more taciturn as previous generations were.
