Laura Ingraham hosted Randall Wallace of "Heaven Is For Real"
Wallace said this movie is akin to "Braveheart" even though they are very different. It is the story of Colton Burpo who claimed to have seen heaven as a little child. He stated that the movie is having a great impact and the book is at the top of the bestseller lists again.
Wallace said at first he was suspicious of the Burpo family but after reading the book, he became convinced it was a real story. He said Colton Burpo is grown up now and contends with the fame garnered over this film.
Wallace said that due to the popularity of religious movies, Hollywood is taking notice as they earn movey for the studios. He owrried about the authenticituy of the scenes of heaven and spoke of a double rainbow that appeared as they were about to shoot this scene.
Wallace said he focused on the father in the story as this is the area of conflict in the father's mind over the assertions of his sick child about heaven.
