Laura Ingraham hosted Sam Brownback.
Brownback said he doesn't regret his support for HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius as President Obama would have chosen a liberal for the job. He feels Obamacare wouldn't have worked with anyone due to its flawed policies and system. He said the administration is trying to mitigate the flaws of the system.
As a former Senator, Brownback commented on the broken system, pointing to the runaway spending and cultural and economic decline. He put a system called KanCare and maintained his conservative bonafides. He is concentrating on being re-elected and stated his state has had state income tax cuts and boosts in revenue. Unemployment is at 4.8% with no tax on small businesses.
Brownback said he likes how Paul Ryan has dug in on the poverty and mental health isues are good ones to rebrand the GOP with. He has advocated upping legal immigration numbers, targeting it to what we need. Ingraham pointed out that most polls indicate that we should not be increasing immigration numbers as we have Americans without jobs and with declining wages. Ingraham suggested having people in high unemployment states move to Kansas.
