Van Susteren said both politicians and insulated media lose touch with the people they are supposed to serve, using the Obamacare legislation as a prime example with the predictable fallout. She pointed to the doctors being used as props in the PR rather than being consulted.
Van Susteren spoke about Piers Morgan's show being cut at CNN, noting that he replaced Larry King who was their top rated show. She listed the qualities an anchor needs to have, being able to blanace hard news coverage, booking and lighter fare. She stated that CNN needs to find out what their audience wants and deliver it.
Van Susteren and Ingraham spoke about Alec Baldwin's latest tirade against the media and his short stint at MSNBC.
Van Susteren said she is against a new law passed in Arizona that allows religious groups to refuse to serve those who go against their beliefs.
