Laura Ingraham hosted Victor Davis Hanson.
Hanson agreed with Ingraham that the GOP should make a reasonable populist argument that would appeal to the overstrapped middle class. Hanson noted that the immigration push will also force taxpayers to pay for more governent subsidies for both the rich and poor. He asked why big business government handouts aren't cut as well. Hanson said the Tea Party has been disappointing in focusing on a cogent message. He added that guns is another populist issue the GOP should cash in on. He feels Rep. Paul Ryan has gotten caught up in this assault on the middle class. Hanson said where he lives in California is loaded with elite rich technocrats and minorities rule, the middle class is especially hammered and squeezed.
