Laura Ingraham hosted Senator Rand Paul.
DeMint said the budget deal is loaded with "Washington as usual" spending. He said the only time spending was cut down was under the sequester except for the military cuts. Ingraham noted the conservatives that are going along with the spending is disheartening. He said his tactics changed in the Senate, realizing that trying to fit in didn't work, but going right to the people did.
DeMint agreed with Ingraham that Heritage's principles need to be advanced and that this raises the hackles of the establishment. He feels there are more than enough conservatives to move the country and not cut the people out.
