Laura Ingraham hosted Jake Tapper of CNN's "The Lead".
Tapper said he hasn't read former Secretary of Defense Robert Gates book "Duty" in its entirety, but that he was surprised that a cabinet secretary writes such a critical and detailed account of his tenure. He said the difference between Gates and Hillary Clinton, Obama, Bush, Leon Panetta, etc. is that he never ran for office and was livid over how politics dominated foreigh policy. He said one never can predict who will write such a tell-all.
Tapper said he wasn't offended by MSNBC's on-air criticisms of him and credits to network competition.
Tapper feels Hillary Clinton won't be hurt by Robert Gates book as he is less critical of her versus VP Joe Biden. He doesn't think Clinton being anoited already for the 2016 presidential run.
