Brooks expressed concern about the insecurity of the Obamacare website according to hearings he was a part of. As a result, he would not recommend anyone signing up over the website as there is little hope of fixes due to the size and complexity of the site.
Brooks also expressed concern about CGI Federal getting a no-bid contract on the Obamacare site. He noted they have done unsatisfactory work on previous government sites and were rejected for the CMS. He stated that this is a Canadian company where the profits will go and that one of the executives is a former classmate of First Lady Michelle Obama.
Brooks also pointed to a social science military site that CGI failed on.
Brooks doesn't think President Obama's Obamacare PR campaign won't work as the whole program itself isn't working. He predicts millions more Americans will lose health care from their employers due to the rising expense of health care for insurers. He feels this is purposeful so that the US will go to a single payer system.
Brooks said as long as the Democrats are in power, there will be no redress for these failures and that this may give advantage to the GOP in 2014.
