Laura Ingraham guest host Raymond Arroyo spoke with Pat Buchanan.
Buchanan said the healthcare.gov site is better but that now insurers are having big issues with the program. He said the political damage has been massive for Democrats. He responded to AG Pruitt of Oklahoma's contention that the courts will have to decide about whether people in state exchanges will have to pay penalties for not signing up for Obamacare.
Buchanan said China's true character as it has strengthened economically as it has flexed its muscles in the South China Sea where it has established air superiority in this zone. He doesn't know how some sort of conflict among the US, Japan and China doesn't ensue over disputed islands. He and Arroyo noted how US airlines kowtow for permission to go into disputed air spaces.
Buchanan stated that the US Navy strength has been halved and diminished, and that the US will be under stress to assert itself against the Chinese.
Buchanan explained that he feels the Iranians are not crazy enough to go for an atomic bomb immediately as they know they could be bombed by the US. He predicts they will quietly strengthen quietly to be the biggest player in the Middle East. He thinks the US would be foolish to provoke them at this time and favors Obama's stance.
Buchanan and Arroyo commented on China's rising power via their space program and compared it to the decoine of the British Empire. He said the rise of Islamic radicalism and the unrest in the Middle East make the area a volatile ticking time bomb.
