Laura Ingraham hosted Don Lemon of CNN.
Lemon said after a certain age, one says one's mind. He doesn't agree with a lot that "Duck Dynasty" star Phil Robertson says, but that he has the right of free speech to say what he believes. He doesn't believe that people should be fired over expressing their opinions and that the marketplace will determine how acceptable a performer's views are. He also noted that not every performer is media savvy and that whenever anyone insinuates something that is hateful, these consequences must be faced. Ingraham asked about media "set up questions" that put guests in a difficult position. Ingraham said that is the crux - that people are afraid to speak out as it might deny opportunities.
Ingraham said people who live in fly over country feel looked down on and Lemon agreed, saying like it or not, it is how it is and that not everyone thinks alike. He believes in meeting people at their level and tries to understand and start a conversation.
Lemon loves working at CNN as their is a lot of experimentation going on.
