Laura Ingraham hosted David Brooks.
Brooks said he took off time away from politics and found it a pleasure. He feels that is true conservatism and that government has its limits. He thinks it's a tension between being more daring and staying put.
Brooks said the health care law and the Dodd-Frank law haven't been successful and thus have made Obama's presidency unsuccessful.
Brooks spoke of coverning Nelson Mandela when he came out of prison with his attitude of forgiveness and reconciliation to President Obama's refusal to meet with others to solve problems, even within his own party and feels he's above others.
Brooks talked of people who identify themselves as politicians as living on a thin reed. He believes in politicis but there should be a balance. He is concerned about the concentration of power in the government.
