Laura Ingraham hosted Congressman Mick Mulvaney of South Carolina.
Mulvaney said Paul Ryan is ready to take the pain in making budget cuts while the Democrats want a government shutdown. On the sequester he wants to have savings but questions how real they are. Ingraham cited the example of Democrats favoring deferred savings that will never happen.
Mulvaney said he won't challenge Senator Graham for the Senate as he likes the House and that Graham is more popular in South Carolina than people think. Ingraham said that while Graham is a nice person, that he rushes to foreign conflicts and immigration reform.
Mulvaney doesn't see any support for amnesty in the House, but only a few reforms such as border reform and Ingraham countered that this gives the Democrats cover as they will nod their heads and not enforce a thing. He said it is never a bad thing to say what one stands for.
Mulvaney said his triplets are on their Christmas card.
