Laura Ingraham hosted Christina Hoff Sommers of AEI on single sex education.
Hoff Sommers said several years ago some senators passed legislation so that there could be single sex classes or schools. The ACLU has decided that this is a form of gender apartheid. She said the benefits include boys reading at a higher level and girls do better in math and science. She stated that boys and girls take on many roles. She noted that less recess makes for more ritalin for boys. Ingraham said that this lessens choice for students to achieve. She pointed to how this could impact private schools and single sex organizations such as the Boy and Girl Scouts.
