Laura Ingraham hosted Grover Norquist of Americans for Tax Reform.
Norquist said President Obama is overplaying his hand with the government shutdown. His concern is that everyone applauded the opening move by the Tea Party faction, but that the strategy for what would happen afterward wasn't there. He said Ted Cruz put the conservatives in a bad position and overplayed his hand and that it would never become a defund.
Norquist said immigrants make the US stronger. He said the immigration laws are being rewritten to amend the past and look to the future. Ingraham argued that bringing in STEM workers lowers the earnings and jobs for Americans. Norquist said the immigration reform will not allow illegal aliens to get benefits and Ingraham disagreed.
