Laura Ingraham guest host Raymond Arroyo spoke with Senator Ted Cruz of Texas.
Cruz said many Republicans are convinced that Obamacare can't be repealed, but believes that Congress should vote to pass the budget except for Obamacare in the House. Then it should go to the Senate and put the blame on President Obama if the government is shut down, pointing out the waivers he's already given to big corporations. He thinks it's the last big chance and agrees shutting down the government wouldn't be a good idea. Therefore, the government shut down must come from Majority Leader Harry Reid and President Obama. He said the politics will take care of itself, even as this is a bold move that threatens politicians who are beaten down. He said the only people who can win this fight are the American people and urges people to go to a website called dontfundit.com.
Cruz defended his efforts to stop comprehensive immigration reform and that the House will help thwart passage of the bill. He's released his birth certificate as he was born in Canada of an American citizen and is a citizen himself.
Cruz said the real schism in the US is between entrenched politicians and the American people.
