Laura Ingraham hosted Senator David Vitter of Louisiana.
Vitter said there are thousands of people who abuse birthright citizenship which is justified under the Fourteenth Amendment which was passed to give citizenship to slaves. He said the idea is out of vogue to end birthright citizenship, including Republicans. Ingraham said it is around 300,000 instances.
Ingraham cited the moral argument being made by religious groups for immigration. Vitter said that Senator Rand Paul's policy favors open borders. Vitter said he's a Catholic and feels being a good Christian doesn't mean we need to have open borders. He is not on the amnesty bandwagon.
Vitter is planning to vote no for Thomas Perez as Labor Secretary based on his activities at the Justice Department.
