Downey said it is clear why no one has tackled this series before because it is big and epic. It is worth it as it will educate people.
Burnett said that children should be educated about the Bible as it is central to our culture.
Downey said the casting of Jesus was critical and they cast a Portuguese actor several weeks before the production. She plays Mary in this production as she has loved the Blessed Mother all her life. She feels she's brought a mother's heart to the epic.
Burnett thinks this will be seen more than any series as it is the greatest story ever told and that people are hungry for this sort of production.
