Laura Ingraham hosted Jami Valentine of Solace for the Children.
Valentine said she was approached to form a branch of Solace for the Children for war injured children. One little six year old Afghan girl called Raifa was brought to the US was burned when an IED blasted in her family's tent. She also suffered from PTSD and was withdrawn. Valentine gently worked with her to bring her out.
Valentine took Raifa to Disney World which she responeded to positively as any child would. She decided keep Raifa until she healed because she had been through enough. She learned English quickly and her personality emerged.
Valentine said Raifa had skin grafts to her head, but said she won't grow hair on the top of her head, but had some in the back. She spoke about the process of getting her back home to Afghanistan.
