Laura Ingraham hosted Bill Gertz of the Washington Free Beacon.
Gertz said there's been a big push for al-Qaeda to move into Northern Africa, especially in Mali which is largely ungoverned. He said a lot of the taxpayer money sent to these countries are in Swiss bank accounts of dictators and other thugs with Hillary Clinton waking up to the fact as she leaves the State Department. He said we aren't leading, but disengaging from Africa for Asia. He stated it's only a matter of time before radical factions regroup for more terror activity. There is concern Egypt will become another Islamic state like Iran.
Gertz said Gitmo parolees who were detained and released are working with the Syrian rebels.
Gertz noted CIA nominee John Brennan was silent on critical issues during his Senate confirmation hearings.
