Laura Ingraham hosted Dr. Leonard Sax, author of "Why Gender Matters".
Sax said it is bad for boys today and should be compared to boys many years ago. He noted the shift in boys in all groups - that they are not engaged in school. He pointed to a culture that glorifies criminal activity for boys and other negative behaviors. Sax has seen this even at the elementary school level. He said the restrictive environment that penalizes boys for harmless behaviors that were formerly acceptable.
Ingraham spoke about boys' natural behaviors being verboten in schools. Sax enumerated no cost remedies such as setting aside areas where boys can be boys. He said education schools don't teach teachers to accomodate boys' natural tendencies.
