Laura Ingraham hosted Superintendent Jamie Grimm of Montpelier School District in Ohio.
Grimm said over the winter break to review school security. He had two options: the government could protect the schools or the district could take action. He knew he had staff members who are responsible and could protect the premises. He criticized the media who are attacking maintenance personnel and others who might be armed. Ingraham cited this as another example of elitism where certain peopl are protected and the regular folks aren't.
Grimm said it is a valid argument that it would be horrific if someone shot an innocent person. He said doing nothing isn't working. He said 98% of parents support his efforts. Both he and Ingraham agreed that it depends on where in the country as to the approval of guns in the schools. In his district he estimates half the households have guns in them.
