Laura Ingraham hosted Representative Tom Cotton of Arkansas, veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan and Harvard graduate.
Cotton said Obama has successfully engaged in class warfare and that the Republicans are for all Americans, regardless of their economic class. He said the congressional leadership have drawn a line in the sand against any more taxes. He said it is spending cuts are essential.
Cotton said Chuck Hagel isn't fit to be the Secretary of Defense and that the troops deserve better. He described him as closer to Code Pink than the president in wanting more spending cuts to defense. He said Hagel will not celebrate the troops achievements, despite Hagel being a veteran.
Cotton said that women in combat is a complicated question because any women are in fact on the front lines, but that women shouldn't serve in the infantry due to physical differences with men.
Cotton doesn't see any more of a division in the GOP than in the Democrats in Congress.
Cotton said he has no problem being a part of the "Hell, no, caucus". He noted the "Club for Growth" has 100,000 members and supported him.
