Laura Ingraham hosted Representative Darrell Issa of California.
Issa decried the passage of the fiscal cliff bill due to the $4 trillion in deficit spending. He said 150 of the House voted against the bill and that those who voted for it thought they were keeping taxes lower but that they were only doing this temporarily. He commented on the pork added to the bill as well as the Hurricane Sandy bill. Ingraham said that any small revenue is swamped spending. He cited the carve out for NASCAR grandsnd that added to the deficit. Ingraham said people are tuning out Washington and that the Democrats won the presidency, Senate and gained in the House. She noted that Majority Leader Cantor voted against the bill.
Issa said that smaller government hasn't been touted since Ronald Reagan and that people need to hear that government is too big and taxes too high in that order.
