Laura Ingraham hosted Reince Priebus.
Priebus said he's ready to get to work. Priebus said the RNC has caught on to the concept finally that the RNC has to go beyond a nine month operation, but needs to be involved at the grassroots level continually. He said he deserves to continue as chair despite big losses in 2012 because the organization was seriously under water when he took over. Ingraham said that few of the promises made were kept. Priebus said the presidential campaign controlled many aspects of the campaign. He also faulted the numerous primaries.
Priebus said conservative groups will have to contend with "Organizing for America" soft money efforts. He said it has to be a year round commitment. Ingraham asked why people would give money given the poor results in 2012.
Priebus said the grassroots and donors want to see a detailed goal oriented plan with metrics to know how resouces are being used.
Ingraham and Priebus agreed that tone matters with immigration and that the GOP must do a great deal of outreach.
