Laura Ingraham hosted Heather Whaley prospective parent trying to adopt Russian child.
Whaley said she decided to adopt in Russia as it is a tenel of her Christian faith to help the less fortunate, that she's a special needs teacher and that she's always wanted to adopt. She and her husband have only seen photos of the child and that President Putin allegedly said there will be a one year grace period until the ban against Russian adoptions kicks in totally. Their prospective adopted child has multiple special needs and Whaley said they are well positioned to help her. She responded to criticisms that they should adopt an American child by saying that she may adopt an American child and that there are fewer resources in Russia to help disabled children.
Ingraham said she's very committed to adoption of children domestically and abroad and has made it a New Year's resolution.
