Laura Ingraham hosted Jonah Goldberg.
Goldberg said conservatives make the mistake of assuming that appealing to people who receive government benefits are not reachable. He said one doesn't lose a fight by not engaging. He said the ungluing of American life isn't helpful to the country and that conservative values offer solutions. He said the cause is lost if conservatives give up and the GOP becomes a me-too slightly to the right version of the Democrats.
Goldberg warned against ignoring the social conservative wing of the conservative movement to placate those who want fiscal conservatism and more liberal social values. He said conservatism is the counter cultural argument, ironically.
