Laura Ingraham hosted James Pethokoukis of CNBC and AEI.
Pethokoukis said that the Hurricane Sandy situation doesn't help Obama's election prospect and contrary to people claiming it will be a building stimulant, he pointed out that we don't have the money for rebuilding.
Pethokoukis said we might get back to 8% unemployment on the October jobs report and that we are woefully short of jobs needed to get back to a robust economy.
Both Ingraham and Pethokoukis agreed that the jobs numbers will be spun and that the new normal has been baked into public expectations. Ingraham cited mainstream media economic articles with glowing headlines but information in the article indicating problems. Both pointed out that the General Motors stock isn't being put on the market to be sold to the public as the government would take a loss.
