Laura Ingraham hosted Heather Mac Donald of the Manhattan Institute.
Mac Donald said that it is sad that the whole concept of the rule of law in regard to illegal immigration is thrown under the bus. She said the poiticians are making purely pragmatic moves toward amnesty because they would be natural conservatives. She said Latinos didn't buy into either the GOP's objections to Obamacare or the Catholic Church's issues with the Obama administration over religious freedom and contracepsion. She noted most Latino immigrants are dependent in various degrees on benefits. She also cited how they voted for candidates in California that espoused same-sex marriage.
Mac Donald said politicians should make the same appeal to all groups rather than targeting subgroups of the electorate. She said if you change your principles you are like the other party. She stated that the laws are not being enforced on criminal acts by illegal immigrants and that the Democrats have a stranglehold on that demographic group.
