Governor Mitt Romney was the clear winner of the first presidential debate as the presidential bubble and media praetorian guard were stripped away. Romney was energetic, in command of his material while the president was halting and didn't seem to have come prepared - perhaps fewer trips of pizza to the supporters or flying over the Hoover Dam would have been in order during debate prep. The omission of the omnipresent teleprompter seemed also to hamper the president who didn't seem in command of his material.
