Laura Ingraham hosted Michael Barone.
Barone and Ingraham assessed the Senate races. Barone said that Scott Brown and Elizabeth Warren is a dead heat. Both said the Indian fracas with Warren hurt her. Barone said Virginia also looks like a dead heat. Ingraham said Tim Kaine's ads have been good. Barone said that George Allen lost a close race in 2008, but may have turned people off by saying he would rather be governor. Ingraham said the Washington Post hates George Allen more than any other politician. He also sees Montana as a close race between Jon Tester and Danny Rayburg, but apt to go to the Republican. Barone said that in Wisconsin Tammy Baldwin appears ahead of the Republican Tommy Thompson who has been hit for being a lobbyist. Barone suspects Murdock will win in Indiana, but makes unforced errors by larking back to primary issues. Barone thinks Democrat Claire McCaskill will beat Republican Todd Akin.
Barone said that he has surveyed past history and found that Republicans have more often lost Senate seats due to bad candidates and unforced errors. He thinks that the House is probably safe for the election.
