Arroyo and Ingraham commented on how Romney has muddled his message on taxes and that he seems in retreat on sweeping taxes versus how he spoke at the convention. Both commented on how Paul Ryan isn't being used on the campaign trail. They both commented on how Romney allowed himself to be framed by the Democrats long ago and that the satire is the narrative. Arroyo said the GOP has to figure out how to get lampooning of Democrats into the mainstream media and entertainment outlets.
Ingraham brought up the recent report that the taxpayers are paying $1.4 billion to support perks for the Obamas. Ingraham and Arroyo agreed that Romney has the need to be liked and pointed to a beach picture from his youth where he traced out in the sand "I love Ann".
