Laura Ingraham hosted Doug Schoen, author of "American Casino".,
Schoen said the best thing Barack Obama could do to follow Bill Clinton's barn burning speech by doing what Clinton did: work with the other side. Ingraham commented that most of the activities at the DNC convention were liberal appeals to various interest groups. Schoen said Obama should go for swing voters by following up on Simpson-Bowles. Ingraham cited various polls where Obama has slipped among women.
Schoen said the electorate is unsettled and that neither side has spelled out a clear agenda for the nation. Ingraham noted the Wall Street Journal made the point vis-a-vis Romney.
Schoen said Obama isn't the great uniter and needs to build on the earlier promises which the voters expected. Schoen gives a narrow advantage to Obama but it is within the margin of error.
