Laura Ingraham hosted Congressman Dennis Ross and Frederic Rolando of the National Associaiton of Letter Carriers
Rolando said he appreciated the opportunity to address the Post Office and said it is one of the success stories with losses due to a manufactured crisis.
Ross said the Postmaster General has testified otherwise. He said hte work force needs to be reduced. He thinks it doesn't need to be privatized or dismantled, but needs to be modernized. He said partnerships the UPS and Fed Ex have worked.
Rolando said the Post Office doesn't use any taxpayer money and agreed that there should be modernization.
Ross said reducing days is favored by the public and that door to door service should be ended. He doesn't want to see the services curbed.
Rolando said the new bill does away with Saturday deliveries and said it is important for e-commerce as people order so much online.
