Governor Susana Martinez outlined the American Dream in her rise in politics as the first Latina governor in US history. She made a powerful case as a role model for the GOP for Latinos. She delivered one of the convention's most memorable lines: "I'll be damned: we're Republicans" when speaking of she andher husband being wooed to the GOP. She was very well received.
