Laura Ingraham hosted Dr. O., a cardiologist at the Sibley Hospital.
Dr. O. said from a doctor's point of view there are several problematic issues. One is the Medicare payment system. Another is the independent payment board which determines payments and procedures which will limit patient and doctor autonomy. A third is that the red tape will separate patients and doctors even further. The cost of electronic health records is huge and unfunded and cuts time doctors spend with patients. Privacy is another issue that is compromised as full disclosure it required and backups are problematic.
