Laura Ingraham hosted Senator Marco Rubio, author of "American Son".
Rubio and Ingraham recalled when he first ran for the Senate when he was down in the polls and rose quickly. He talked about his parents asa a bartender and a maid who are the American immigrant story. He said he holds no grudges against his colleagues who wanted to disqualify him from running. He said he arose with the Tea Party. He said he wrote his book because he was approached to write it, not because he hoped to be a VP candidate.
Rubio said immigration is a very complcated issue with a human element. He said a million people a year come into the US legally and said we need a balance between finding a solution for the illegals here and those who are wanting to enter the country. He said that President Obama politicizes every issue, including the DREAM Act.
Rubio said the administration seems to be hiding something on the "Fast and Furious" incident, given Obama's executive order. He said we live in a democracy and people are allowed to question our leaders positions and that foreign policy is not off limits. He said every issue is on the table. He deemed Obama as smart but as having a wrong headed world view. He is being vetted as Romney's vice-president.
