Laura Ingraham hosted Representative Paul Ryan of Wisconsin.
Ryan said President Obama's economic speech will be more of the same with lots of straw dogs erected with Obama claiming the government is the solution. He said that Greece would be in a golden age if all this spending was the solution. He predicted that Mitt Rommey will be demonized as well as other successful people. Ryan agrees that Romney needs to offer substantive policy ideas as well as attacking Obama, pointing to Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker and his own economic blueprint so there is a clear choice.
Ingraham and Ryan discussed General Martin Dempsey's warning about cuts in the Pentagon's budget and Ryan said the House has already acted on his concerns and that their bill is sitting over in the Senate and is being ignored by the White House. Ryan said unfortunately the federal government trows under his plan but not as feverishly. He also added that the elderly are most hurt by debt and deficit issues.
