Laura Ingraham hosted Ed Conard, former managing director of Bain Capital and author of "Unintended Consequences".
Conard said President Obama's comment that the private sector is doing fine is ridiculous. He said commerce is the savior of the masses, not government. He said the attacks on private equity are attacks on business in general. He said at the end of the day it's customers that decide if an enterprise will succeed or not. He said we need more jobs and that Romney is on the tip of the spear on this and for Obama to claim that business experience isn't important to being president is wrong.
Conard said they had two steel companies in their portfolio - one that was able to compete with new technology and the other that couldn't. He said productivity improvements increase jobs.
