Laura Ingraham hosted Cardinal Wuerl of the Washington Archdiocese.
Wuerl spoke on behalf of a large group of Catholic entities suing the Obama administration on the health care mandate requiring the groups to provide contraception via their health plans. He said the first problem is the narrow definition of who is defined as a religious entity.
Ingraham brought up those who disagree such as Sister Simone Campbell who said the church getes federal money and said this puts Catholic religious beliefs on others. Wuerl said in fact it is the taxpayers money. He said the partnership between the church and the government where the church provides many social services at a favorable rate.
