Laura Ingraham hosted Donald Rumsfeld.
Rumsfeld and Ingraham discussed the tactics of terrorists and how the Obama administration has adhered to most of the policies that the Bush administration had in place, even as President Obama vigorously condemned them during the 2008 campaign. Rumsfeld said that once a president sees the threats and the shadowy network of terror, he said one's outlook changes.
Rumsfeld said the international community isn't a community but a disparate set of nations with their own issues. He said the options in dealing with Syria are wide and cautioned about the consequences if Assad is overthrown, even as he is as brutal as his father. He said he's not sure how the Obama administration is handling this as he doesn't have all the information and says there may be covert operations going on. Both commented on the ineffectiveness of Kofi Annan and the UN's actions there.
Rumsfeld remarked on the irony of how Obama is picking out the terrorists to be killed. He and Ingraham agreed that the administration leaked this story. Rumsfeld said it is egregious that the administration spilled out so much information about the killing of Osama bin Laden. He said he hopes Romney will be elected.
