Laura Ingraham hosted Rick Santorum.
Santorum complained that the media is combing through his record and said he's staying on message and that it is resonating with blue collar voters in Michigan. He said he'd compare his voting record against Newt Gingrich's, dodging Ingraham's question about Gingrich's charge about this. He said he's for working people no mater who they are.
Santorum said Romney wins in states where he has a home court advantage, but that he is hanging tough with a message that resonates. He admitted that he has been a politician most of his life and hasn't worked a great deal in the private sector, but has run a small business. Ingraham said she wouldn't have said that JFK's statement on church and state would make one throw up and said framing hte issues is key.
Ingraham encouraged Santorum to respond to charges that he is a theocrat and said he respects ideas in the public square. He countered that Obama is imposing his ideology on others and that he is not.
