Laura Ingraham hosted MIchael Reagan.
Reagan said Pat Buchanan bolted the GOP to run for president so he also is an opportunist in his view. He pointed to Gingrich's record in leading the GOP to control of the House. He doesn't recall his father Ronald Reagan saying anything about Gingrich, but said Gingrich has been supportive of the Reagan legacy and policies.
Reagan said Gingrich has had so many negative ads run against Gingrich that this is why his poll numbers are unfavorable versus Obama. He said that Gingrich sees Romney as liberal and that the candidates aren't following his father's commandment to not trash one's own party members. He noted that his father voted as a liberal Democrat until his daughter convinced him of conservatism's strengths and said Gingrich also moved from being a Rockefeller Republican to a conservative.
