Ingraham Factors Obama Agenda, Immigration, Afghanistan, Black Panther Party and More

Laura Ingraham hosted "The O'Reilly Factor" on July 1st.  The Talking Points Memo revolved around the Obama Agenda.  Ingraham noted that President Obama - as the economy has been fizzling - has focused on other diversionary issues such as immigration, cap and trade, buying up the auto industry and spending on the stimulus which hasn't been effective.

Ingraham spoke to former Bush adviser Karl Rove.  Rove contended that Obama isn't sincere on immigration - but that he is trying to keep his Hispanic base at bay so they will stick with him in November.  Ingraham asked him about accusations that the Bush adminstration were profligate spenders.  While Rove said the Bush administration did run deficits, the Obama administration has beat them out royally in that area.

Ingraham spoke to Ali Noorani about President Obama's immigration speech.  Noorani said he supports border enforcement, but also a comprehensive immigration plan which he said the country supports.  Ingraham questioned that point and asked about people who were languishing in the immigration lines trying to get here legally while illegal aliens were being allowed to stay on free and gratis.  

Ingraham spoke to Democratic operatives Penny Lee and Mathew Littman.  Both of them favored more stimulus money to revive the economy while Ingraham spoke up for cutting deficits.  

Ingraham talked to Fox News' Megyn Kelly about the dropping of charges against the New Black Panther Party for intimidating voters in 2008.  Kelly said that the Justice Department, after interviewing J. Christian Adams, appears to have an unbalanced attitude toward civil rights and that any intimidation by minorities won't be prosecuted. 

Ingraham and Lt. Col. Ralph Peters spoke about the situation in Afghanistan.  Peters said that a strategy needs to be drawn up to deal with this very difficult situation - and that General Petraeus had been a very lucky general in Iraq - and will have the chance to prove it again in Afghanistan as he takes command.
